It has been ages since I posted an entry.  I figured I would follow the theme-of-the-day and post what I am thankful for this year.

The important:

- my family
- my health
- my friends
- my job
- the end is in sight of the 8-year nightmare

The superficial:

- the cinnamon coffee cake at Caribou Coffee
- that I got Reebok sweats, zippered hoodies buy-one-get-one free at Casual male yesterday (and did not have to wait in any line to pay for it-bonus)
- the 3rd season of Big Love starts January 9
- that I am moving to Vegas in late Spring 2009 (I will miss all my Pittsburgh and Harrisburg budz) :-(
- that I will finally have my congenital bone malformations in my foot fixed on December 5
- that I will be able to buy some hot Nike Shox after the previous entry
- that gas is under $2/gallon
- that there is so much freakin' eye candy here in Pittsburgh...all the hot Pittsburgh menzez bundeld up in their heavy coats and work boots....wooof!
- that I can work from home tomorrow...YAY!
- that I will be working lots from home when recovering from foot surgery and won't have to dip into my PTO
- that Apple came out with the iPhone
- that the Republican party is in shambles and will take years if not decades to recover
- that I can do subcontracting work in medical transcription from home and make decent money doing it
- that Christmas falls on a Thursday this year...IMO the best day of the week it can fall on
- probably loads more of stuff that escapes me as I am being kicked out of the coffee shop that closes in 9 minutes!

Hope everyone has a safe Happy Thanksgiving.  Don't overdose on the "sausage stuffing!"

Ciao!

A must-see!  Sadly, I saw the real clip on Olberman, and the part where McSame stammers through the price of gasoline was not "remixed" for this video.

Poor Cindy, actually felt sorry for the cunt (as her husband affectionately calls her).

You should be beverage-free when you watch this.  I take no responsibility for any ruined computer screens!

Enjoy!

Did anyone else get goose bumps when Michelle did this fist bump immediately prior to Barak's going on to give his speech on Tuesday night?

When Barak is elected president in November, so many things are going to change in this country.  This very well may end the strangehold that old white WASP-y men have held on this country for more than two centuries.

I am on cloud 9!

WESTLAKE, Ohio (AP) -- A Cleveland-area principal says he's embarrassed his students got proof of their "educaiton" on their high school diplomas.

Westlake High School officials misspelled "education" on the diplomas distributed last weekend. It's been the subject of mockery on local radio.

Principal Timothy Freeman says he sent back the diplomas once to correct another error. When the diplomas came back, no one bothered to check things they thought were right the first time.

The publisher has reprinted the diplomas a second time and sent them to the 330 graduates.

I am so over the Clintons

What a tragedy this former first family has become.   Coming from someone who defended them left, right and center, and having experienced probably the most prosperous time of life under Bill Clinton's presidency, their behavior and comments in the last few days have made me despise both of them.

I shudder to think that some of my conservative friends were right when they said that the Clintons are all about the Clintons.

Hillary, do the American people a huge favor--Concede, and go back quietly to your senate seat and put your husband in his place.  I will be much happier if I don't see the likes of you two again any time soon.

PS:  Barak, please don't even entertain the thought of creating a "nightmare" ticket with that self-serving bee-otch!  You will fare much better with Edwards, Richardson or dare I say Hagel!

I tried the name thingie floating around here on LJ.  I figured mine would pull up one, my father, maybe two if it found my been-dead-23-years grandfather because my aunt still has her phone in his name, but it shows "0" not only for my first and last name but also 0 for anyone in the US with my surname.  My grandfather had seventeen brothers!  That had lots of sons and I know of at least 60 relatives in Pittsburgh alone that have my surname.

However, my surname is very rare, even in its native Poland, and I know of only two other living people with my exact name.  How rare is that?!

Hillary Clinton went from an 11-point lead last Friday here in Pennsylvania, down to a 6-point lead two days ago, and she is now down to a 4-point lead.  Methinks my man Obama is going to take PA on April 22, and if that is the case, Clinton needs to give her concession speech that night and drop out of the race!

Go Obama!

On the Eve of the 3rd Anniversary of the death of JPII.

I have seen some funny pictures of Bush that make him look like an ass, some doctored, some real, but this one takes the cake.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I guess because I am a customer of Casual Male XL, I was put on their mailing list for Living XL.  It's reassuring to me to know that I can get as big as I want to get, and I won't ever have to fret about my arms being too short to reach my ass to wipe myself.

It's not quite the drunken vomitfest reserved for St. Patrick, but March 19 marks the Feast of St. Joseph, patron saint of Poland and Italy, among other nations.  I wore my green on Monday and got my red on today!
